Another Proud Moment: Shweta Ratanpura Becomes First Indian Female To Win Medal At World Skills



Girls are making India, so much proud. Whether it’s the field of sports or academics, they are bringing laurels. After the grand winning of P V Sindhu, Hima Das and many more super athletes the list is long enough.
Shweta Ratanpura became the first-ever woman candidate from India to win a medal at World Skills, recently held in Kazan Russia. 
She won a bronze medal in the graphic design category making the whole country proud.
Skills development ministry stated “Blazing a trail of glory for India at the global stage, the 48-member Indian team returned with the best-ever finish at the WorldSkills International Competition 2019 in Kazan, Russia by winning 19 medals and medallions of excellence.’
A total of 19 medals at the competition including – one Gold, one Silver and two bronze medals along with 15 medals of excellence were bagged. More than 1,350 competitors participated from 63 countries that participated in the global competition. All these wins ranked India in 13th position out of 63 countries. 
S Aswatha Narayana from Odisha won a gold medal in water technology, Pranav Nutalapati from Karnataka won a silver medal in web technologies while Sanjoy Pramanik from West Bengal won the bronze medal in jewelry and Shweta Ratanpura from Maharashtra also won the bronze medal in graphic designing
In 2017, India won 11 medals and finished in the 19th position at Abu Dhabi one of the official statements says.
With this glorious victory, Team India has proved that they are equally talented and holds the capacity to give a tough fight to its competitors.
